Great expansion plans for Patty Spitler's Great Day TV

It’s always a Great Day when a TV show picks up more viewers! That’s what is happening with Great Day TV, an Indianapolis-based show that airs Sundays at 10:30 a.m. on WISH-TV.
The magazine-type show, which presents stories about interesting people, places and things through informative programming, recently was picked up by WANE-TV in Ft. Wayne, Ind. and currently airs on that CBS affiliate. Now, Great Day TV will be expanding to WPBY-TV in Lafayette, Ind., beginning July 15, and WKYI-TV in Louisville, Ky., beginning in late August. Details on schedule air times will soon be announced.
“We are thrilled and excited to welcome more friends to our TV lineup,”

says host Patty Spitler. “We promise to continue to serve you, our viewers, with uplifting and informative stories. Oh yeah, and we may make you smile, too!”
Spitler, an Emmy Award-winning news anchor and reporter for WISH-TV from 1982 to 2004, recently was selected as an inductee in the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame.
Other personalities on Great Day TV include familiar faces such as Tina Cosby, Shannon Cagle, Joy Hernandez, Steve Sweitzer and Eunice Trotter. Jim Gooley of The Wine Shop: Vine & Table, is the show’s vino expert, and Mark Newman of Visit Indiana takes viewers to interesting places around the state. Recent stories include the upcoming Heartland Film Festival, a look at new technology that helps cancer patients and an interview with one of the young stars of the Broadway musical “Rent.”
Indy Audio-Visual Productions, Inc. produces Great Day TV. The company also produces the nationally-syndicated Pet Pals TV, airing locally on WISH-TV and WNDY-TV.
