Pianist Richard Glazier to host Newport Music Festival benefit on livestream


Richard Glazier, a renowned Indianapolis pianist and documentary filmmaker, will present a benefit for the Newport Music Festival as a live-streamed event on July 30. 


Glazier began studying piano when he was 6 years old and earned his Bachelor and Master degrees in Piano Performance from Indiana University School of Music and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Music.  He has won several major international piano competitions and played on many famous stages worldwide. 

 

On July 30, the Newport Music Festival will open their 52nd season with "A Bicoastal Celebration to Benefit the Newport Music Festival featuring From Broadway to Hollywood-Live with Richard Glazier" at 8 p.m. ET, with a pre-party starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. The live-streamed event, hosted by Glazier, will feature friends of the festival, including world-renowned violinist Joshua Bell (of Bloomington, Ind.); television, film and stage actress and singer Lorna Luft; actor and vocalist Nicolas King; and composer and pianist Mike Renzi.

The event possibly will be streamed on Facebook Live starting at 7:30 p.m. ET with the pre-party. Visit the website below for updates on streaming locations.
