C. Thomas Howell coming to Indy for screening of 'The Outsiders'

As a Gen X girl, thinking about "The Outsiders" takes me back to the big TV cart rolling into the classroom for what was sure to be the coolest day of the school year. Many of us read and watched "The Outsiders" in class but did you know that the book is still required reading in over 75% of classrooms to this day?

In my interview, Tommy reflects on the lasting impact of "The Outsiders," discussing how it continues to resonate with new generations and the importance of literacy through his Stay Gold Foundation.

Howell expressed his excitement about interacting with fans, stating, "'The Outsiders' is a platform for me to get out and really connect with people. There's an energetic exchange that takes place that's moving for three, four generations." This event promises to be a heartfelt celebration of a film that has touched the lives of many and continues to resonate with audiences today.

He also shares insights from his extensive career, touching on his experiences in various roles, including his memorable character in "Criminal Minds" and his work in the superhero genre.

We dive into Tommy's love for animals and ranch life, where he finds balance and grounding away from Hollywood. Plus, hear about his beloved pets, including cats, Butch and Sundance, and his adorable Cavapoo, Waylon.

Don't miss this heartfelt conversation filled with nostalgia, inspiration, and a celebration of storytelling. Tune in and remember to "stay gold!"
