It was a Chef Showdown! Recently Patty had the opportunity to cover, and even judge, a fantastic food event for American Senior Communities. Several top-tier chefs competed for the title of number one new chef to serve residents at ASC. Join Patty for a yummy event where the residents are the true winners!

Quest for Excellence is the yearly program from American Senior Communities honoring staff members for helping residents above and beyond the regular requirements. Of course, with the pandemic, these caregivers are saddled with even more challenges. Patty introduces us to Jeremy at American Village who feels that helping those in need is his life's calling. Heartwarming humanity is not a thing of the past!

Change is inevitable, even for caregivers. At American Senior Communities they are altering their approach to incoming clients and residents dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia. The Baby Boomers are now starting to show up for help, and their needs and wants are distinctly unique from “the silent generation.” Boomers want different food, accommodations and even music to help them feel comfortable as they deal with memory loss. Patty has more.

Meet Emma Unger and find out why she thought it was so important for her 103-year-old great-grandmother to see her in her wedding dress, even though she couldn't attend the wedding.
