Change is inevitable, even for caregivers. At American Senior Communities they are altering their approach to incoming clients and residents dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia. The Baby Boomers are now starting to show up for help, and their needs and wants are distinctly unique from “the silent generation.” Boomers want different food, accommodations and even music to help them feel comfortable as they deal with memory loss. Meet Emma Unger and find out why she thought it was so important for her 103-year-old great-grandmother to see her in her wedding dress, even though she couldn't attend the wedding. American Senior Communities helped to make this event very special, even with COVID-19 rules and regulations in place. Wave parades honor residents and staff

Keeping in touch with friends and relatives can be challenging with the current restrictions during the pandemic. This is especially true for those folks being cared for in assisted living and retirement communities. American Senior Communities is organizing Wave Parades for all their residents across Indiana. You'll enjoy a joyous Wave Parade that just took place in Danville. Waves and smiles are essential to good health, too!
