Patty Spitler reunites with her WISH-TV colleague Debby Knox to interview Debby's sister about her baking talent!
Lisa Knox Nervig, a three-year survivor of pancreatic cancer, is using sourdough baking as a therapeutic activity to manage stress. Nervig, who is the sister of former WISH-TV anchor Debby Knox, began the hobby during a harsh winter at her home in Chicago.
Baking serves as a mindful practice that allows Nervig to focus on specific steps rather than on health concerns. Nervig is also using her platform to share information regarding the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s upcoming Purple Stride fundraiser, which supports research and family resources.
That's a yum!
