Indiana native represents Team USA at World Cup of Darts

One of Indiana's finest is proud to be representing the United States in the international spotlight. The World Cup of Darts features 40 nations competing for the coveted title across the four-day festival of darts. Danny Lauby of Terre Haute is competing in the World Cup as part of Team USA.

Lauby has made a name for himself on the Championship Darts Circuit (CDC) and now resides overseas to compete as a Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tour card holder. He was most recently seen on stage in front of over 7,500 fans at Madison Square Garden for the US Darts Masters. Lauby is excited to showcase his skills on the world stage.

I caught up with Danny about his success and he talked about how he was raised on darts in Terre Haute, saying, "My dad is a professional dart player. He was a top player so I grew up around it. I know the possibilities of it. I'm going over there to make a wave, a real one and get a title."

Professional darts is growing in North America and has more ties to Indiana with several of the key events being held in the state, including:

  • The Cross Border Darts Classic showcasing the top US darts players against the top Canadians in Michigan City, Indiana

  • An interactive darts experience by the CDC at PopCon, the Midwest's premiere pop culture convention in April featuring 4 of North America's top players

  • The next CDC Main Event in Indiana happens September 20-22 at the American Legion Post #331 in Brownsburg, Indiana

The BetVictor World Cup of Darts is an exhilarating event, with top players from different countries showcasing their skills and competing for the ultimate prize. As Lauby takes to the stage, fans can expect thrilling matches and intense competition.
