New animated film ‘Hoppers’ praised for original concept

Patty Spitler reviewed the new Hoppers from Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures, awarding the animated film three and a half stars out of five.

The movie follows 19-year-old Mabel, who uses advanced technology to transfer her consciousness into a robotic beaver. The scientific breakthrough allows humans to hop into robotic animals to better understand and communicate with wildlife.

Patty described the film as a rare original concept in an industry often dominated by sequels. The story centers on Mabel, who is struggling with anger and confusion after the death of her grandmother. Through the experimental technology, she places her mind into a mechanical beaver and begins communicating with animals.
