Patty previews historical drama starring Brendan Fraser

Brendan Fraser is set to wave the green flag at the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race on Sunday, and attention is shifting to his upcoming film, “Pressure.”

The Hoosier-born actor stars in the PG-rated historical drama as Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, focusing on the 72 hours leading up to the D-Day invasion during World War II.

The film centers on the decision of whether to proceed with the largest seaborne invasion in history or risk delaying and potentially losing the war.

Fraser’s recent career resurgence has drawn attention following his 2023 Academy Award-winning performance in “The Whale.” Patty highlights his range as an actor.

“He’s shown how versatile he is, especially in this latter part of his career,” she said. “You look at him as Dwight D. Eisenhower and then try to put him in his Mummy character — those are different people.”
