Patty reviews movie "Solo Mio" as Kevin James stars in heartwarming rom-com

“Solo Mio,” a romantic comedy starring Kevin James, opened in theaters Feb. 6. The film follows an older groom who is left at the altar and decides to take his planned honeymoon to Rome alone.

Patty Spitler rated the movie four out of five stars, praising its focus on older adults finding love.

The story centers on Matt Taylor, portrayed by James, a single older man who believes he will never find true love. After planning a wedding and honeymoon in Italy, Matt is abandoned at the altar. He chooses to move forward with the trip, turning the honeymoon into a solo vacation in Rome, where he encounters a determined local woman and several vacationing couples.

James also served as a co-writer on the project. Spitler highlighted the authenticity of the storytelling and characters.
