Patty reviews new Elvis Presley documentary ‘Epic’

The new Elvis Presley documentary “Epic,” directed by Baz Luhrmann, currently on IMAX only and will be available everywhere Feb. 27.

Patty Spitler gave the production five out of five stars, praising its use of authentic performance footage.

While Luhrmann previously directed a scripted biographical film about Presley, he described “Epic” as a documentary. The film is rated PG-13 for language and smoking and runs 1 hour, 37 minutes.

The documentary focuses on Presley’s 1970s Las Vegas residency and includes multiple concert recordings. Spitler highlighted the high-energy nature of the footage.
