Children's Museum's haunted house celebrates 60 years with unique experiences

This year marks an extraordinary milestone in haunted history! The Children’s Museum Guild’s Haunted House, the longest running, continually-operated haunted house in the country, is turning 60! To honor this incredible milestone, join us on the Witch Way Road Trip an exhilarating cross-country journey down Route 60.

In honor of the Haunted House’s six decades of thrills, this road trip promises a unique experience filled with twists, surprises and eerie challenges. As you travel the haunted highway, explore chilling landmarks and unravel the legends that make Route 60 one of the most mysterious roads in America. But beware, who knows who will actually make it to Boneyard Beach?

Witch Way Road Trip, presented by Old National Bank, runs Oct. 10-31, 2024, at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. It is closed on Mondays.

Fear not, there is something for all ages (and scare levels). Tone down the terror during Hays and Sons Friendly Hours—think of it like a trick-or-treat trail (with lights on for children who may scare easily). Families can crank up the creepy for AAA’s Frightening Hours (with lights off, for those who dare to be scared).

Every Wednesday, the Indiana Department of Transportation will hand out free bike helmets to Haunted House ticket holders. First come, first served, while supplies last.

Tickets for the Haunted House experience are $9 per person and available by calling

317-334-4000 or visit www.childrensmuseum.org/haunted-house.
